We had a lovely family stay at this pub. It served as an excellent base for exploring the Peak District, where we enjoyed walking and cycling. The local sights, like Chatsworth House, are just a short drive away, which made our trip even better.

My kids wished there were more options for breakfast, especially something sweet like pancakes.

Warm hospitality and great local cuisine

We had a wonderful stay with a warm welcome from the staff who provided attentive service throughout our visit. The king room was spotless and perfectly comfortable, allowing us to relax after our adventures in the peaks. Dinner was particularly impressive, showcasing delicious, home-cooked meals made from fresh, local ingredients. One suggestion for improvement would be to enhance the breakfast options with a bit more variety.
